Die erste Rezension des neuen Albums "You" kommt von Heavy-Metal.de. Überraschend ? Aber gut ! ;)

Cool ! Die Electro-Community Electrogarden setzte heute die Maxiversion von "I began to hope" auf Platz 1 Ihrer Charts ! Weniger cool - das Musikportal MP3.com ändert zu Jahresbeginn die Nutzungsbedingungen. In ein paar Tagen werden alle WAVE IN HEAD - Songs von meiner MP3.com Seite verschwinden, ausser den letzten 3 Uploads. Über eine Ersatzlösung denke ich nach.
Cool ! The electro - community Electrogarden made the maxi version of "I began to hope" the number #1 in their charts today ! Uncool - the music sites of MP3.com change their policy. In a couple of days all WAVE IN HEAD songs will disappear from my MP3.com - site, except the 3 latest uploads. I think about a substitute solution.

Das neue Album "YOU" hat diese Woche den Weg in die "weekly bestsellers", die Label Charts geschafft und ist momentan auf Platz 2 ! , gleich nach New Order`s "Retro" Box Set, welches ausverkauft wurde und deshalb nich mehr zu sehen ist. Ihr könnt "YOU" bei A Different Drum bestellen.

Aus Zeitmangel ist der Gig am 30.November in Berlin (Electromotion) fast unter den Tisch gefallen. Also vielen Dank nochmal an alle, die da waren und Stimmung gemacht haben ! Trotz einiger technischer Pannen, hatten wir doch ziemlichen Spass :). Sagt es weiter und kommt beim nächsten Mal mit Verstärkung !
Due to a lack of time, the gig on 11/30/02 in Berlin (Electromotion) has almost gone by the board. So thanks a lot again to all that have been there and have made a good mood ! Despite of some technical problems, we had quite a lot of fun :). Tell it to everyone and come back with reinforcements at the next event !

Das neue Album "YOU" ist veröffentlicht und damit wohl eine der letzten Veröffentlichungen des Jahres 2002 in unserem Genre. Nachdem es der Song "Emotional Machines" von eben diesem Album bereits auf Platz 1 der Gesamtcharts auf MP3.de gebracht hat, habe ich irgendwie ein gutes Gefühl ;). Wenn Ihr dabei seid, könnt Ihr Euch eigentlich auch gleich das Programm selbst zusammenstellen - will heissen, Ihr könnt mitbestimmen, was gespielt wird. Schreibt mir, was Ihr hören wollt, und ich werde es in meiner Planung berücksichtigen.

Der Fanclub hat ein neues Interview veröffentlicht. Bisher gibt es nur die deutsche Fassung, aber auch für english speaking people lohnt sich ein Blick in mein bescheidenes Studio(chen). Ich sehe übrigens nicht deshalb grün aus, weil ich von Photosynthese lebe, sondern weil die Wände grün sind - das beruhigt. Intrapop, das neue Label um Martin und Constantin aus Heidelberg melden gerade, dass es die neue Single "With You" in Bälde auch in ihrem Online Shop zu kaufen gibt. Danke an alle, die mir geschrieben haben und sich Sorgen machen wegen der derzeitigen Flutkatastrophe, die nun auch Magdeburg erreicht hat. Die neue Single "With You" ist JETZT aus der Fabrik zurück ! Ab Dienstag könnt Ihr sie bereits bei A Different Drum ordern. Die Labelseite wird diesbezüglich aktualisiert werden. Anderes Thema - Die Einrichtung "Copyright Arbitration Royalties Panel (CARP) einer Amerikanischen Organisation mit Namen RIAA plant eine Erhebung von Tantiemenzahlungen bei allen Amerikanischen Onlineradios einzuführen. Für diejenigen von Euch, die gerne mal nach neuer Musik im Internet Ausschau halten und Onlineradio hören, wird sich dann einiges ändern. Diese Onlineradios werden dann nämlich verschwinden, weil sie sich (als echte Non-Profit-Hobbyisten) eben diese Zahlungen nicht leisten können. Das wiederum heisst, Ihr werdet dann im Netz genau den selben Scheiss hören, den Ihr schon 24 h lang im Radio bei Mutti in der Küche gehört habt. Sollte Euch das (so wie mich z.B.) irgendwie stören, und solltet Ihr (so wie meine grosse Schwester) des Englischen halbwegs mächtig sein, dann besucht doch bitte Synthpopradio (gleich hier klicken) und informiert Euch, wie Ihr genau das verhindern könnt, bevor das weltweit Schule macht !

Another topic - The Copyright Arbitration Royalties Panel (CARP) have instituted royalty rates for internet radio. These rates are unfair, and they will force internet radio as we know it off the air. They are trying to take away our rights, without even asking us. If this is allowed to stand, online radio like Synthpopalooza Radio (and indeed, most independent webcasters) could be forced to shut down forever, because most of them make no money, but would be forced to pay for broadcasting. This means, you will hear the same f*** sh*** (sorry, I couldn´t resist) in the net, as you hear it 24 hours long in your mum´s kitchen radio - no chance for new music anymore. Please check out, what we all can do to fight this at Synthpopradio .

Auf "Synthetic Broadway" werden von diversen Elektro-Bands Musical - Songs gecovert und im elektronischen Arrangement präsentiert. WAVE IN HEAD ist in einer Co-Produktion mit Empire State Human und dem Jaque Brel Song "If you go away" dabei. Empire State Human lieferten dabei die Musik. "Synthpop Club Anthems" ist eine Sammlung clubtauglich tanzbarer Tracks aus dem Hause ADD.

Gerade erscheint Red Flags Remixalbum "who are the skulls", das 16 hervorragende Remixe unter anderem von Cosmicity, NewVember, Somegirl, Bobby Clark und WAVE IN HEAD enthält. Überraschend für Red Flag Fans dürfte das Live-Foto der beiden Musiker aus San Diego sein, welches sich in der Innenseite des Covers befindet.
Right now Red Flag´s remix-album "who are the skulls" was released, which contains 16 top notch remixes by bands like Cosmicity, NewVember, Somegirl, Bobby Clark and WAVE IN HEAD. A surprise for the Red Flag fans should be the live - pic on the inside of the cover.

Die Arbeiten am Audioteil sind abgeschlossen und die Musik ist auf dem Wege nach Finnland, zu Jarkko Tuohimaa von Neuroactive, der wieder das Mastering übernimmt. Für Musikanten oder Websiteinhaber interessant dürfte die Meldung meines alten Freundes William Kalfelz aus Brasilien sein, der gerade mit dem Dash Vortex ein neues Forum für elektronische Musik und deren Erzeugung eingerichtet hat. Bei Angelfire ist eine neue Rezi erschienen - über "Progress", geschrieben von Davi Lovatt (richtig, der von Blind Before Dawn). Machmal dauern die Dinge ein bischen länger, aber dann wird´s umso besser ;). Zum bislang vorhandenen Pool an interessanten Remixen kommt jetzt noch der eigene Remix von "with you" hinzu. Mehr dazu könnt Ihr dann am 28 Mai selbst hören ;). A new review is published at Angelfire . It´s about "Progress" and written by Davi Lovatt (right ! Davi from Blind Before Dawn). Sometimes some things take a little bit longer, but then they get usually even better. And: aother remix is added to the existing pool for the next single. It´s the own remix of "with you". Die aus der Band No Decay hervorgegangene Formation 8IGHT hat ihren Remix für die nächste WAVE IN HEAD single "With You" fertiggestellt. 8IGHT setzen dabei auf Härte und Energie. Der Mix des Titelstücks wird Euch sicher gefallen ;). Toll gemacht.

MetaWaveMusic (Equatronic, Astrea Redux u.a.) hat jetzt die beiden CDs "Time to Speak" und "I began to hope" in´s eigene Online Store übernommen. Surft mal hin. Da finden sich auch andere Importe und CDs. Die CD -Rubrik auf www.waveinhead.de wird jetzt um die Rarität "Zeit zu leben" erweitert, von der es genau 5 Kopien gibt. Die Adressen der glücklichen Gewinner haben mich erreicht und die CDs sind zum Teil bereits versandt. Einzig Chuck Frey´s Adresse fehlt noch. Chuck, melde Dich! Die neue Single "With You", die am 28 Mai erscheinen soll, ist in Arbeit. Von Human Decay war zu hören, dass sie dabei sind, den Song "Zeitgefühl" zu bearbeiten. Die Version dieses bisher unveröffentlichten Tracks soll mächtig Druck machen. Toxic `N Blue haben sich auf den Song "im Traum" spezialisiert, den es auch in einer Version von No Comment geben wird. No Comment haben auf ihrer Europatour daran gearbeitet und werden jetzt den Mixdown im heimischen Studio vor guten Lautsprechern tätigen. Empire State Human´s Remix von "the atom of the moment" ist bereits eingetroffen und wird in den nächsten Tagen mit neuen Vocals komplettiert (sobald ich meinen Frühjahrsschnupfen los bin ;), da die remixte Version etwas mehr Speed hat. Floating Point und 8IGHT basteln leise vor sich hin. Und möglicherweise wird es sogar noch einen Mix von DJ Skot geben. Ich bin wirklich gespannt.

You´ll find other interesting CDs there. The CD-section at www.waveinhead.de will be extended with informations about the rare CD "Zeit zu leben" which is limited to exactly 5 copies. The adresse of the lucky winners have arrived yet and some CDs are posted. The only adress, which is still missing is those from Chuck Frey. Chuck, give a sign of life (waveinhead@waveinhead.de)! The new MCD "With You", (to be released on 28th of May), is in progress. Human Decay informed me, they are working on the song "Zeitgefühl". Their mix of this formerly unreleased track promises a lot of pressure. Toxic `N Blue have specialized on "im Traum", which will be available in a No Comment -version too. No Comment have been working on that song during their tour across Europe and will finish the mix now at their studios in front of good speakers. Empire State Human´s remix of "the atom of the moment" has arrived yet and will be completed with new vocals soon (as soon as I got rid of my spring cold ;), because their new version has got a bit more speed. Floating Point and 8IGHT are fiddling silently on their mixes. And possibly there will be another mix by DJ Skot . I´m really looking forward to their work.
Ich möchte bekanntgeben, dass es eine neue Zusammenarbeit gibt, undzwar zwischen DJ Skot und WAVE IN HEAD. DJ Skot arbeitet als international gebuchter DJ, Drummer und Remixer (Fiction 8; Front 242; Björk) und wurde in den vergangenen 2 Jahren jeweils mit den Colorado Underground Music Awards bedacht. Er wird sich mit einem Remix der ersten WAVE IN HEAD - Single "Progress", sowie der Folgeauskoppelung des nächsten Albums befassen. I proudly announce a new collaboration between DJ Skot, one of the (US) nations top Industrial, EBM, Electro, Synthpop, Downtempo & Dark Trance DJ's and WAVE IN HEAD. DJ Skot works as an international DJ, drummer and remixer (Fiction 8; Front 242; Björk) and was awarded two years consecutively by the Colorado Underground Music Awards . In der letzten Woche tauchte WAVE IN HEAD´s "Progress" in den Top Ten (Platz 5) des bekannten Amerikanischen DJs und Remixers DJ Scott auf (seine ständig wechselnden To Ten gibt es hier), was mich sehr gefreut hat. Die neue Single "With You", die am 28. Mai erscheint, macht Fortschritte. So konnten wir (der Fanclub und ich) neben Empire State Human (deren neue LP "Pop Robot" jetzt bei Amazon erhältlich ist) auch die Bands Floating Point(Synthpop), 8IGHT(analoglastiger Electro - ehemals bekannt als No Decay), Toxic `N Blue (ElectroPop) und Human Decay (EBM)als Remixer gewinnen. Ein Blick auf die Homepages dieser Bands lohnt sich, gehören sie doch alle zur Oberliga in ihrem Genre. Auch No Comment könnten, wenn die Umstände günstig sind, mit ihrem Remix von "im Traum" dabei sein. Die Band ist gerade auf Europatour. To my pleasantly surprise WAVE IN HEAD´s "Progress" made it into the top ten (#5) of DJ Scott. He is a famous remixer and DJ in the states. You´ll find his frequently changing top ten here. The new MCD "With You", which will be out on 28th of May, progresses. Beside the Irish band Empire State Human (who´s new album is available now at Amazon), we (the fanclub and me) were able to win the bands Floating Point(Synthpop), 8IGHT(analog sounding electro - formerly known as No Decay), Toxic `N Blue (electro pop) und Human Decay (EBM) as remixer for the new single. Soeben habe ich einen neuen Remix für die befreundete Irische Elektroband Empire State Human fertiggestellt. Der Song heisst "Strange Star" und wird, wenn alles klappt, noch in diesem Jahr auf ihren neuen Album Alpha&Omega veröffentlicht. Empire State Human sind gerade in der Vorproduktion für den Brel Song "If You Go Away". Dieser Klassiker ist dann als Co-Produktion (Musik+Programming: ESH/ Vocals: WIH) auf dem A Different Drum Sampler "Showtunes" zu hören.
Right now I have finished a new remix for my friends of the Irish elctroband Empire State Human. The song is named "Strange Star" and will be part of their new album Alpha&Omega, which will be during this year, if everything goes right. Empire State Human are currently in the pre-production and programming process for the the Brel - song "If You Go Away". This song is another collaboration between us (music+programming: ESH/ vocals: WIH) and will be available at the A Different Drum sampler "Showtunes".

Calyx Records beweisen mit Electronic Spotlight ein gutes Händchen. Electronic Spotlight, der Sampler, der quasi nur unveröffentlichte Songs der Creme des Elektro enthält bringt es auf gute Kritiken in der Presse. In einigen Mailordern tauchte die Compilation in den TOP TEN der Verkaufscharts auf. Und - als ob das nicht schon genug Grund zur Freude wäre, stieg "Electronic Spotlight" letzte Woche von 0 auf 3 in die Bullets der DAC-Charts (Deutsche Alternative Charts / Trendcharts)!!! Ein dreifaches Hoch an die vielen DJ´s da draußen, welche den Silberling in ihren Playern rotieren lassen. (mit auf dem Sampler WAVE IN HEADs RMX-Remix von Polygone). Die befreundete Irische Band Empire State Human vertiefen ihre Zusammenarbeit mit WAVE IN HEAD. Gerade veröffentlichen sie ihre auf 50 Kopien limitierte Pop Robot Silver Limited Edition mit einer Menge Songs, Remixes und Gimmicks, da bereiten sie bereits die nächste CD mit Namen Alpha & Omega vor, die einen weiteren WAVE IN HEAD- Remix des Songs "Strange Star", sowie ein Cover des bislang unveröffentlichten WAVE IN HEAD - Songs "the atom of the moment" enthalten soll. Eintritt kostet 7 Euro, im Vorverkauf 6 Euro (in dem Falle hier melden). Die DC-Rubrik wurde um zahlreiche Links zu Rezensionen über die jeweiligen CDs erweitert. SPR is now the second source for the WAVE IN HEAD -album in Germany. Also at SPR/DE\VISION, the current single "I began to hope" for 6,- Euro. That is really cheap. "Progress" seems not to be available at SPR anymore though, so you have to look at Indietective. At Electrogarden there is a cool new WAVE IN HEAD site, which turns your PC almost into the bridge of Starship Enterprise. Neuropa - Australia´s biggest synthpop band publishes their new single, inclusive WAVE IN HEAD - remix. About at the end of April the band No Comment will publish a Best Off Album, also with a WAVE IN HEAD-remix ("in another time").
