Ich wünsche allen !!! ein frohes Fest !!! und einen angenehmen Rutsch in´s neue Jahr. Bleibt gesund und munter, oder werdet es ! Dies ist die letzte News in diesem Jahr. WAVE IN HEAD ist zur Zeit immernoch (wie sollte es auch anders sein) nicht nur mit dem neuen Album beschäftigt, sondern bastelt auch bereits am Remix für No Comment´s "in another time". Fans der Band werden den Song kennen. Der Remix soll im kommenden Jahr auf einer Remix-CD zusammen mit Arbeiten anderer Künstler erscheinen.

This is the last news in 2001.WAVE IN HEAD is not only busy with the new album, but also starting a remix for No Comment´s "in another time". Fans of the band may know the song. The remix will be published together with other remixes from other bands in 2002.

Eure Meinung ist gefragt ! Schickt, bzw. mailt Euren Lieblingssong vom aktuellen Album "Time to Speak" an den Fanclub und gewinnt mit etwas Glück eine "Zeit zu leben"-History-CD. Vielen Dank für die tolle Stimmung gestern in Berlin ! Es hat mir (uns) riesen Spass gemacht. Für alle, die eine CD mitgenommen haben - habt Spass damit und verborgt sie möglichst oft an die richtigen Leute *grins*. Das ist übrigens die erste WAVE IN HEAD - CD aus dem Jahre 1999. Also ein historisches Schätzchen. Da das Kulturhaus in Vetschau überraschend pleite gemacht hat, findet der nächste Gig in Görlitz am 08.12.01 statt. Mehr dazu findet Ihr in der Live-Rubrik oder bei Electromotion. In Görlitz wird es wieder ein leicht verändertes Programm zu hören geben (neue Songs).Übrigens, ein guter Freund von mir hat eine neue CD draussen. Falls Ihr Euch für abgefahrene und härtere Elektronik begeistert, solltet Ihr mal Diverje hören.

Thanks a lot for great mood yesterday in Berlin ! I (we) had a lot of fun. For all those, who got one of the CDs - have fun with it and lend it to everyone as often as possible *grin*. It is by the way the first WAVE IN HEAD CD at all from 1999. A historical treasure so to speak. Due to the bankrupt of the Kulturhaus in Vetschau, the next gig will take place in Görlitz on 12/08/01. More information: in the live section or at Electromotion. In Görlitz there will be a changed program again (new songs). By the way, a good friend of mine published a new CD now. If you like tricky and harder electronic, have an ear on Diverje.

In Bälde werdet Ihr hier mehr über den Fortschritt am Nachfolgealbum erfahren, so seid Ihr auf dem Laufenden, wie weit die Produktion gediehen ist. Empire State Human, die Irische Elektro-Pop-Band sind dabei, einen neuen WAVE IN HEAD - Song zu remixen. Wir werden ausserdem im Rahmen einer A Different Drum Produktion mit dem Namen "Showtunes" zusammenarbeiten. Übrigens haben die Jungs gerade Ihre neue Homepage bezogen. Übermorgen, am 17.11. geht das Electromotion - Festival in Berlin an den Start. WAVE IN HEAD ist 2. Band und startet etwa 21.15 Uhr. Die Zeiten können sich nach hinten verschieben. Es lohnt sich aber sicher auch, die erste Band nicht zu verpassen. Seid also pünktlich ! Folgende Songs habe ich mit Gerold von Leon Glock (steht am Samstag am Keyboard) zusammengestellt : 1. Ansonsten bin ich sehr mit der Produktion neuer Songs, sowie mit diversen Remixen oder Projekten beschäftigt. Also nicht wundern, wenn die News mal ein paar Tage nachhängen.

Empire State Human, the Irish electro - pop - band is about to remix a new WAVE IN HEAD song at the moment. Also we will work together in an A Different Drum production with the name "showtunes". By the way, the guys have opened their new hoepage recently. On saturday another Electromotion - festival will take place in Berlin. WAVE IN HEAD will be the second band to play and will start at a quater past 9, if everything goes right. May be there could occur a delay, but it will be worth to be there in time, because the 1st band will be interesting too. Together with Gerold from Leon Glock (on the keyboard that evening) I selected the following songs to be played: 1. Zeit zu leben, 2. I began to hope (maxi), 3. Zeitgefühl, 4. For a long time, 5. Time to say... all in a similar topic. It´s up to you to find out about what the encore will be. New reviews have been published about "I began to hope"at Re-Flexion and about the "Electronic Spotlight" - sampler at E-lectric. Apart from that I´m still busy with the preparation of the next album, as well as with several projects and remixes, so please don´t panic, when the news are late.

WAVE IN HEAD ist jetzt gleich mit 2 CDs in den Top Ten der A Different Drum Labelcharts ! "I began to hope" steigt von nix auf #4 ein und "Time to Speak" geht in die 10. Woche in den Top Ten. Danke Euch für dieses überraschend intensive Interesse für dieses Debüt. Samplerbeiträge: Nach dem exklusiven Sampler "Electronic Spotlight" von Calyx Records (im Plattenladen nachfragen ;-)) erscheint nun im Oktober "True Faith", das Tribute Album zum Thema New Order von Synthphony Records, auf dem WAVE IN HEAD mit einem "Blue Monday" Cover dabei ist. In Vorbereitung befindet sich UNITED SYNTHPOP ARTISTS: A Tribute to America von Synthpop FM (Synthpopalooza Radio). Wie auch bei True Faith, werden die Erlöse dieses Samplers den Opfern der Terroranschläge in den USA, sowie den Rettungskräften zugute kommen. Thanks to your surprisingly intensely interest in the debut album. Samplers: After the exclusive "Electronic Spotlight"-sampler by Calyx Records, Synthphony Records is preparing "True Faith", a tribute to New Order, which will be out in October. WAVE IN HEAD participates with a cover of the famous song "Blue Monday". Also in preparation is UNITED SYNTHPOP ARTISTS: A Tribute to America by Synthpop FM (Synthpopalooza Radio). Like with True Faith the proceeds from the sales of this cd will be donated to Red Cross. If you are a band and want to participate in this sampler too, just have a look at their site for more informations. At the moment I work on a remix for Neuropa´s "Beyond here and now". That new mix will be pretty electronic and groovy. Dear Reaktor fans ! Unfortunately there are some files missing on my Reaktor page. Also there may be missing files and pictures at my whole site. Nach den furchtbaren Terroranschlägen auf New York und das Pentagon habe ich mich dazu entschlossen, die WAVE IN HEAD - Homepage wieder zu öffnen. Für mich, sowie für alle hier in meiner unmittelbaren Umgebung sind die Geschehnisse unbegreiflich und auf eine Weise schockierend, wie sie mit Worten nicht zu fassen ist. Unser tiefes Mitgefühl gilt den Opfern der Katastrophe und deren Familien. Auf der Startseite sind jetzt Links zu Hilfsorganisationen eingerichtet, auf denen Ihr Adressen von Hilfsorganisationen findet, falls Ihr helfen wollt. Auch ich habe bereits Geld gespendet, um die Arbeiten der Retter an den Unglückstellen zu unterstützen. An dieser Stelle erstmal keine weiteren News. Ich werde jedoch den normalen Betrieb der Seite bald wieder aufnehmen.

After that horrible attack on New York and the pentagon I decided, to open the WAVE IN HEAD - homepage again. For me and for all Germans that act of terror was completely incomprehenseable. We are shocked. I send my condolences to all victims of this tragedy. My heart goes out to their families. If you want to help, donate, or whatever - you´ll find links at the start-site on how you can help and whom you can contact. I also have donated money, to support the relief effords. No further news this time, but I want to continue with my site soon.

Kennt jemand den "Night Mix" von Thief von Camouflage? Oder hat jemand die CD, auf der "Boat on the river" (radio mix) von den Blind Passengers oder der "Song for Jessica" von Robert Enforsen (Elegant Machinery) zu finden ist? Alles ziemlich selten, nicht wahr? Das hat jetzt ein Ende, denn bei Calyx Records erscheint jetzt Electronic Spotlight, der Sampler, der quasi nur unveröffentlichte Songs der Creme des Elektro enthält. Und worauf ich besonders stolz bin: WAVE IN HEADs RMX-Remix von Polygone ist mit dabei. In Deutschland kann man das Teil in jedem Laden kaufen, sofern man den Verkäufer darauf anspricht oder bei Calyx.

Does anybody know the "Night Mix" of Thief from Camouflage? Or does anyone own the CD with "Boat on the river" (radio mix) from the Blind Passengers or "Song for Jessica" from Robert Enforsen (Elegant Machinery) on it? All of them quite rare, right? That circumstance has got an end, because Calyx Records publishes Electronic Spotlight, that sampler, which contains unreleased material of the creme of the international electro-scene only. And I´m proud to announce, that WAVE IN HEADs RMX -mix of Polygone is also on this CD. You can get this CD at A Different Drum in the USA or at Calyx in Germany.

Gestern abend fand die Quasi-Genaeralprobe für das anstehende Electromotion - Festival in Bielefeld statt. Leider konnte WAVE IN HEAD nicht auftreten, da die Betreiber des Pappelkruges die Veranstaltung vorher beendeten. Vega Dome hat daraus die Konsequenz gezogen und sich vom Pappelkrug als Veranstaltungsort getrennt. Ich möchte mich bei allen entschuldigen, die daher umsonst kamen.Leider lag die Sache nicht in unserer Hand. Electromotion wird ab jetzt auf geschriebenen Verträgen bestehen, um sicher zu stellen, dass alle Events auch so stattfinden, wie sie geplant sind.

Yesterday the quasi-general rehearsal for the coming Electromotion - festival took place in Bielefeld. Unfortunately WAVE IN HEAD couldn´t perform, because the event was stopped by the operators of the location. In consequece of that Vega Dome will do without the location Pappelkrug in the future. I want to bag your pardon if you came in vain. Unfortunately we couldn´t do anything about it. Electromotion will insist on written contracts from now, to make sure, that all events really take place as they are planned.

The second MCD "I began to hope" is officially released today ! The new single will contain 8 tracks!!! and none of the tracks was taken from the album. All of them are new mixes or unreleased songs. Special thanks to Empire State Human (Ninthwave Records), which donated a mix and the song "Swinging Pendulums" and to Atomix Sound and Final Selection, which remixed "I began to hope" as well as to Jarkko for his mastering again! (see also the cover-artwork and tracklist in the CD-info). You can order the MCD at A Different Drum in the next few days. Why not now? Well the world of an electronic musician isn´t always sunny and the sky is blue. Sometimes it occures, that technical problems delay the release of a record, like with "Time to Speak", which is available now. I hope, that new technical problem is solved as soon as possible and I keep you informed about the availability of the single. Just watch out for my news.

WAVE IN HEAD beteiligt sich am Tribute - Sampler "True Faith - A Tribute To New Order" von Synthphony Records mit einer Coverversion von ... Blue Monday. Der Sampler soll im Oktober erscheinen. Ausserdem wird in Bälde der Song "Wake" für die ADD-band Leiahdorus von WAVE IN HEAD remixed.

Am 01.09.01 ist WAVE IN HEAD live in Bielefeld im VegaDome in der DiskothekPappelkrug(Wertherstr.311) zu sehen und zu hören. Die Uhrzeit ist mir noch nicht bekannt. Ich halte Euch aber auf dem Laufenden. Desweiteren ist die WAVE IN HEAD - Performance auf der Synthcon 2002 in Hollywood (LA/USA) bestätigt worden. Sollte jemand zufällig vom 24.-26 Mai durch die Universal Studios pilgern - macht doch einfach mal einen Abstecher auf Amerikas grösste Synthpo-Messe und unterstützt mich ein bischen. Das Programm ist noch geheim, aber ich werde auch ein paar deutschsprachige Sachen singen. Übrigens habe ich in den News vom 06.08. einen kleinen Fehler berichtigt. Die Nachfolgesingle "I began to hope" erscheint nämlich schon in 6 Tagen, am 14. August!

Irgendwie scheinen die Dinge doch noch nicht so einfach zu sein, wie ich dachte. Die Auslieferung des Albums "Time to Speak" verzögert sich weiter. Der offizielle Release - Termin wurde jetzt auf den 31. Juli festgesetzt (in der Hoffnung, dass alle Grafikcomputer im Presswerk wenigstens bis dahin fehlerfrei arbeiten). Ich kann mich nur für Eure grenzenlose Geduld bedanken. Gute Nachrichten gibt es dagegen für die Nachfolgesingle. "I began to hope". Die erscheint nämlich schon am 14.August. Genaueres über die neue Single gibt es in Kürze in der CD-Info.

Somehow the things seem to be not as easy, as I expected them to be. The album "Time to Speak" is still not available. The release date was set to the 31.July (in the hope, that all graphics computers in the factory work properly until then). Thanks a lot for your endless patience. Electroage veröffentlichte aktuell eine Kritik über die A Different Drum Compilation Shadow Dancing - Second Movement. Und: die WAVE IN HEAD Homepage wurde heute von Besucher Nr. 10.000 besucht. Leider hat dieser keine Mail an mich gesandt. Schade, aber kein Problem, die CD geht dann eben an den 11.111ten Besucher (siehe 30.06.2001). Das Teil wird übrigens keine Standard CD sein, sondern was spezielles.

Electroage publishes a review of the A Different Drum compilation Shadow Dancing - Second Movement. And: the WAVE IN HEAD homepage was visited by the 10.000th visitor today. Empire State Human haben ihren Remix des 99er WAVE IN HEAD Songs "Night over me" fertiggestellt. Der Mix ist tanzbar und sehr melodiös. Er wird auf der 2. Single "I began to hope" am 11. September veröffentlicht.

Final Selection steuern einen Remix für die zweite geplante Singleauskoppelung "I began to hope" bei. In den letzten Tagen wurde heftig an der WAVE IN HEAD - Homepage gebastelt. Das hat zu Ausfällen geführt, für die ich auf Euer Verständnis hoffe.
Dafür erstrahlt die Seite jetzt in neuem Glanz. Viele Inhalte sind jetzt leichter zu erreichen, oder wurden aktualisiert.
Die Startseite bietet jetzt die Möglichkeit, auf die deutsche oder englische Variante abzuzweigen. Die deutsche und englische Navigationsseite zeigt jetzt in der Mitte an, was gerade wichtig ist. Dieser sog. Mainframe kann mit Klick auf das Wasserapplet (das, was da so virtuell plätschert) jederzeit wieder aufgerufen werden.
Die Hauptseite (www.waveinhead.de) ist durch weniger Elemente jetzt schneller geworden und zeigt am Fussende (beim Zähler) an, ob und wann die Seiten das letzte Mal aktualisiert worden sind (z.B.: updated May 22th 2001). So surft Ihr nicht umsonst durch den Inhalt - ein Blick und Ihr seht, ob es was neues gibt.

The WAVE IN HEAD - homepage was under construction during the last days. That caused some breakdowns of the content from time to time. I hope for your understanding.
Now it works again and glows in a new shine. Much of the content can be accessed much faster and easier, than before or was updated. The Start page offers the ability now, to choose the language. The english and german mainpage shows in the middle, what´s up at the moment. This so called mainframe can be accessed by clicking onto the water applet (the splashing thing there), whenever you want to see it again.
The main page (www.waveinhead.de) contains less elements and has become faster now. It shows underneath, if and when the site was updated, (such as: updated May 22th 2001). So you can see, if there´s something new and spare time, if there´s nothing new.

The remix for Empire State Human is done. That means, I will start the work for the second single "I began to hope" soon, which will be published on 09/11/01. Meanwhile the first MCD "Progress" goes into the factory. And in 42 days it will be out !

Jetzt da die Arbeiten an "TIME TO SPEAK" beendet sind, beginne ich mit dem Remix für Empire State Human, eine Elektroband aus Dublin (Irland), die im August ihr neues Album Pop Robot (expanded edition) bei Ninethwave Records veröffentlichen wird. Der Song, an dem ich arbeite, nennt sich "The swinging pendulums" und hat mich durch seine athmosphärische Art überzeugt. Kurze Zeit später beginnen die Arbeiten an der 2. WAVE IN HEAD Single "I began to hope", die im September erscheint.

Now, that the work for "TIME TO SPEAK" is done, I begin with a remix for Empire State Human, an electro -band from Dublin (Ireland). Electromotion 2 ist in Vorbereitung. Ende des Jahres wird es voraussichtlich 3 Festivals im Lande geben, die sich in Magdeburg, evtl. Thüringen und Berlin abspielen werden. Dabei werden neben WAVE IN HEAD auch Das Schwarze System und Newvember live auftreten. Weitere Bands stehen noch nicht fest. Electromotion 2 is in preparation. There will be probably 3 festivals in Germany, which will take place in Magdeburg, Berlin and perhaps Thüringen. Die Arbeiten am Debüt - Album gehen dieses Wochenende zu Ende. Das gute Stück geht dann zum Mastern nach Finnland an Jarkko Tuohimaa von Neuroactive.Titel des Debüts wird TIME TO SPEAK sein. Zum Veröffentlichungsplan: Die Single Progress erscheint aller Voraussicht nach am 05. Juni. Das Debütalbum TIME TO SPEAK am 03. Juli, sofern nichts dazwischen kommt.

The work on the debut will be finished this weekend. The premaster will be sent to Finland then, where it will be mastered by Jarkko Tuohimaa from Neuroactive (thank you very much in advance:)). The name of the debut will be TIME TO SPEAK .The release schedule: The MCD Progress should be out on Tuesday, the 5th of June, while the debut TIME TO SPEAK will be published on Tuesday, the 3rd of July, if everything goes right.

Ab sofort befindet sich auf der LIVE - Seite ein Videoausschnitt vom Livegig im Dark-Whirlpool, am 24.November letzten Jahres in Berlin. Synthetic Vision - das Electronic Synth Pop Fanzine aus Dublin veröffentlicht in seiner aktuellen Ausgabe 2 Rezensionen von WAVE IN HEAD - CDs. Synthetic Vision ist ein Printmedium in A5 und erscheint hier zum 8. Male. Inhalt dieses Fanzines ist der elektronische Untergrund. Wer das liest, weiss also Dinge, von denen der Mainstream nicht mal zu ahnen wagt. Achtung Computercrash!!! Wegen des dramatischen Ablebens meiner Windows 98 - Festplatte, mitsamt ihrer Daten und Installationen, war jetzt erstmal zwangsläufig Ruhe im Karton. Sollte mir jemand eine E-Mail geschickt haben und bis heute noch auf Antwort warten, bitte ich um Geduld. Etwa 355 Nachrichten haben den Crash im Server "überwintert" und müssten erstmal gelesen werden. Nachrichten, die vor dem 13.02. verschickt wurden, sind höchstwahrscheinlich im Nichts verschwunden. Attention - computercrash!!! Due to the dramatic demise of my Windows 98 harddisc, including all installations and files there was a suspicious silence at my site and my mailserver for some days. If you have sent me an e-mail and are still waiting for an answer, I apologize for the delay. About 355 mails survived the crash sleeping at the mailserver. They must be read first. Gesundes neues Jahr ! Die erste Newsmeldung des 3. Jahrtausends gilt der Eröffnung der Fanclubseiten. Unter http://www.stardust2000.de/ wird Gunnar ab sofort Interviews und News bereithalten, nicht nur über WAVE IN HEAD. Hier werden auch andere Bands vorgestellt und interviewed. Den Anfang machen New Concept. Bei der Gelegenheit: Gunnar sucht noch Gleichgesinnte, die ihm beim Aufbau der Seiten und des Fanclubs als Info-Adresse Nr.1 behilflich sind. Jede Hilfe ist willkommen. In dem Zusammenhang möchte ich mich bei Gunnar für seine Mühen bedanken. Der Fanclub wird in Zukunft auch als Schnittstelle zwischen mir und den Fans dienen und mich entlasten.
