WAVE IN HEAD - STUDIO
- CASIO VZ10m |
The Casio VZ1 synthesizer was Casio´s
Answer to the successful Yamaha DX7 during the middle of the 80ies. While the
DX7 became one of the best sold synths at all, the VZ1almost fell into oblivion.
The phasenmodulation used here basically produces similar sounds, although not
as brilliant as the frequency zmodulation of the DX-series. Interesting: the VZ1
can wire up to 8 oscillators even by ringmodulation. | synthesis: |

I have purchased
the rack version VZ10m with enthusiasm and saw very soon, despite the endless
possibilities you can´t do anything with this machine. What it delivers
in a good quality are metal-, scream-, brass- and bass sounds. It is also excellent
for percussions thanks to fast envelopes. But never totally without background
noise. A goody: it has multimode. | |
