WAVE IN HEAD - STUDIO
- KAWAI K5m |
Kawai`s K5 was their 2nd trial after the
K3, to integrate additive sythesis into a commercial product. This time with up
to 128 harmonic sinewaves or 2 against each other tuneable harmonic generators
with 64 harmonics each. Every single overtone could be controlled by one of 4
envelopes which enabled an automated harmonic level mix. | synthesis: |

If you own a
noisegate the K5 or its rack version K5m is THE machine for zany, strange or just
metallic digital sounds. I like its extremely warm strings, which give you the
feeling, something super old is taking the word. It is also very good a choirs.
Unfortunately you can hear it out of a bunch of synths. Alone and in multimode
it´s gonna be very digital and ice cold. | |
